Learning Support Teacher
I was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Rainbow Lake—way up north near the Northwest Territories. Over the years, I’ve lived in Calgary, Okotoks, Lethbridge, High River, and now Medicine Hat.
Before becoming a teacher, I studied Emergency Medical Services at SAIT and became an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). I've worked as an EMT for about 30 years. Later, I returned to the University of Lethbridge and earned my Bachelor of Arts and Education, graduating in 2000. Hard to believe, but that means I’ve been teaching for 25 years—time really does fly when you love what you do!
I began my teaching career at Monsignor McCoy in Medicine Hat before moving to St. Mary’s four years later. Currently, I teach Grade 9 Language Arts and First Aid.
I’m also a proud parent of four boys—ages 23, 20, and 18-year-old twins. I love to travel (when the budget allows—which isn’t often with four kids!), and I’m a big Edmonton Oilers fan. I enjoy friendly hockey banter with Mr. Moll, who’s a loyal Vancouver Canucks supporter.
St. Mary’s is a fantastic place to teach and learn. I truly enjoy being part of this community, and I feel like my life is on the right path.
