Leadership Announcement Vice-Principal

Dear St. Mary’s School parents & guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well as I am writing to share some significant news regarding the leadership at St. Mary’s School.
As you may know, Mr. Colin Desnoyers, Vice-Principal, was recently hired as the Director of Curriculum for the division. He is moving into his new role on March 4th. We thank him for his time serving as Vice-Principal this school year and look forward to his work throughout the division within his new role!
After a search for his replacement, we are excited to announce Mrs. Alexa Batsel as the new Vice-Principal of St. Mary’s School beginning next Monday. Mrs. Batsel has been a teacher in Medicine Hat Catholic Schools for 15 years. She has been teaching at St. Mary’s School since 2011, and took on the role of School Counsellor in 2015. Mrs. Batsel obtained her Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning from Liberty University in Virginia. She has a substantial background in fine arts and has been greatly involved in the St. Mary’s musicals over the years.
We believe that Mrs. Batsel’s extensive experience and passion for education and her students will further enhance St. Mary’s School. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Batsel!
